
Psychologist & Psychotherapist
Flavia D’Alessandro is a psychologist and psychotherapist who has been living and working in The Bahamas since 2010. She specializes in adult individual therapy with a focus on stress, anxiety, grief, depression, trauma (including PTSD and developmental trauma), attachment issues, and relational conflict.
Her work integrates multiple evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Relational Intelligence (RI), Contemplative Discovery Pathway Theory (CDPT), and psychoanalytic principles.
She completed her Psychology degree and Public Health specialization at the University of São Paulo, followed by advanced clinical training in Brazil, Luxembourg, the U.S., Canada, and The Bahamas. Flavia holds a Master’s Degree in Health Psychology from Walden University, with emphasis on stress and psychological trauma.
In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to international publications on trauma, interpersonal neurobiology, group processes, and resocialization.
