
Internal Medicine Specialist
Dr. Sheena Smith-Wallace is an Internal Medicine Specialist with a special interest in Endocrinology. She has managed the Endocrinology Clinic at the Princess Margaret Hospital for over seven years. She is an expert in diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, low testosterone, and other gland disorders.
Born and bred in Nassau, Bahamas, she is a graduate of St. Augustine’s College in Nassau. She attended The College of the Bahamas and completed Pre-Medicine at Barry University in Miami, Florida.
She received her medical degree from The University of the West Indies (UWI), Trinidad & Tobago, where she completed Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease rotations at Bon Secours Hospital in Gross Pointe, Michigan. Dr. Wallace completed her Internal Medicine Specialty training through UWI, Jamaica with her elective subspecialty training in Endocrinology. As an Internal Medicine specialist, her main concern is primary care, which includes annual physicals and medical check-ups. If there is a troubling medical dilemma that no one can figure out, she is keen to find the answer!
Dr. Smith-Wallace also provides in-hospital and home care services, which include administration of medications and home management of medical disorders in the comfort of the patient’s home. She is an Internal Medicine Consultant at Princess Margaret Hospital and Doctors Hospital, an Associate Lecturer at UWI, A Member of the Medical Association of The Bahamas, a Member of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Endocrine Society.
She is the proud mom of three children, Ash, Hunter and Liam. And when not working, she loves spending quality time with her family.
