
General & Aesthetic Dermatology
Dr. Rokeisha Clare-Kleinbussink commenced and completed her medical training at the University of the West Indies, obtaining a Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) degree. She began her dermatological training at the Welsh institute of Dermatology at Cardiff University School of Medicine in Wales, UK, where she obtained a Diploma and a Masters of distinction in Clinical Dermatology and a Doctor of Medicine degree.
In The Bahamas, Dr. Clare-Kleinbussink presently works in the Dermatology clinic at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), were patient care is a priority. She treats and manages patients of all ages on the hospital wards and in the dermatology clinic within PMH. For over 10 years, Dr. Clare-Kleinbussink has taught Dermatology to undergraduate medical students and upon request, post-graduate students of Emergency and Family medicine, in the area of Dermatology. She ran the Tele-dermatology clinic for many years. Meanwhile, Dr. Clare-Kleinbussink obtained the Certificate in University Teaching and Learning (CUTL), and completed the Associate Fellow of Advanced Higher Education (AFHEA), at Cardiff University Wales, UK. Upon request, she is a tutor/marker for MSc students enrolled in the Masters of Clinical Dermatology- MSc program in Cardiff, Wales, UK.
Dr. Clare-Kleinbussink has since given numerous oral, e-posters and poster presentations internationally and locally, looking into the impact that chronic conditions have on the quality of life (QoL) of patients and their family members. She regularly attends international conferences and is involved in research. She has a particular interest in quality of life (QoL) and skin conditions such as: psoriasis, acne, eczema, hidradenitis suppurativa, pigmentary disorders, skin cancers, hair disorders, skin of color and aesthetic dermatology.
Furthermore, Dr. Clare-Kleinbussink presents and provides internal training and teaching for pharmaceutical bodies upon request. She is an author and has several publications. Additionally, she has obtained a level one and two (L1 and L2) with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). She is a member of the Caribbean Dermatology Association (CDA), the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), the British Association of Dermatology (BAD) and the founder of the Dermatology Bahamas Group (DBG).
