Family Medicine Center was founded by Dr. Graham Cates and Nurse Anita Cates with a vision for a different kind of healthcare – one that looks beyond illness to care for the whole person. From prevention and education to diagnosis, treatment, and specialized care, FMC brings together a diverse team of healthcare professionals with one shared focus: helping people live healthier lives.
At the heart of FMC is a collaborative, patient-centered approach. Family physicians, specialists, nurses, therapists, and other health professionals work together to provide connected care for patients at every stage of life, from childhood through the senior years.
What began as a small family practice has grown into a comprehensive, multi-specialty healthcare center, while remaining grounded in the philosophy on which it was built: personal care, trusted relationships, and a commitment to the health and well-being of individuals, families, and the wider Bahamian community.
